Navigating your sense of self can feel destabilizing when the world around you hasn't always made space for who you are. Maybe you're working through questions of identity, a diagnosis, or a trauma history that's resurfacing now that life finally feels safe enough to process it. You might understand all of this intellectually, but still find no relief in your body while caught in patterns like panic, sleeplessness, or a low mood that won't lift.

As a member of the queer community, I have a deep understanding of minority stress and the toll marginalization can take on wellbeing. I bring that same understanding into my work with all clients navigating trauma, anxiety, and people-pleasing that comes at the expense of your own needs. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and anti-oppressive: you're involved in shaping the direction of our work. Together we will explore the narrative you tell about your life, while gently updating it with self-compassion. Since intellectualizing can only get you so far, we’ll also get to know the parts that live in your body with curiosity through somatic exercises and mindfulness.

By understanding how a past version of you learned to cope, we can acknowledge what may no longer serve you today, and explore new ways of being. Taking the first step toward healing can feel both exciting and overwhelming, but you may be surprised by the changes you notice in your daily functioning, self-esteem, and ability to handle life's stressors.

get to know me outside of therapy

  • I am happiest when I’m in nature, whether it’s hiking, hanging out at the beach, gardening, or sitting in the backyard with a good book.
  • I have a wonderful cat named Bodhi who hangs out with me during virtual sessions, so you may meet her!
  • I have studied Buddhism from a young age, and I integrate mindfulness and meditation into my daily life.
