The throes of life are stressful, and sometimes it can feel like the world is too much. Feelings like anxiety or anger don’t exist purely as cognitive reactions; instead, your whole body responds which can create a persistent sense of feeling unsafe or on edge.
With over 15 years of experience in social work and a decade as a yoga and mindfulness instructor, I am a firm believer that holistic mental health care is foundational to healing. I have supported individuals and families through a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting challenges, and major life transitions. In our work together, you will find an approach grounded in processing stress and anxiety through the body, with attention to broader lifestyle patterns that support your overall well-being. I draw from somatic and mindfulness-based practices to help you build a more regulated nervous system, creating the foundation to explore unhelpful thoughts, behaviours, and beliefs, and develop strategies for meaningful change.
You will learn ways to release stress rather than hold it, allowing your nervous system to move more fluidly in and out of overwhelming states instead of staying stuck. My hope is to create a warm, safe space where you can be yourself and begin to listen to the wisdom of your body. We will move at a pace that feels right for you, as you learn to feel safe, supported, and able to trust yourself again.
